Therapeutic Approach
Relational work emphasizes and centers the significance of the therapeutic relationship itself as a healing and transformative force. It involves cultivating a collaborative, empathetic, and genuine connection between the therapist and the client to promote trust, growth, and emotional healing.
Talk therapy often brings us into thinking about ourselves rather than relating with ourselves in our experiences. With the integration of the body, breath, sensation, and movement, we will begin to learn the language of our internal world. From that embodied knowing, a deeper quality of relating to self, others, and the environment can start to emerge.
I embrace and affirm neurodiversity, recognizing the value and uniqueness of all neurological experiences and identities, creating an inclusive and supportive therapeutic environment that queers normative standards society places on us, and honors the diverse ways individuals present, perceive, process, and interact with the world.
A philosophical approach to therapy that focuses on exploring fundamental questions and concerns of human existence. Rooted in the belief that individuals grapple with universal existential challenges, such as the meaning of life, freedom, responsibility, isolation, and mortality, this lens encourages clients to confront and embrace these existential dilemmas. Facilitating deep exploration of one's values, beliefs, and sense of purpose, empowering clients to confront their anxieties and uncertainties and to take responsibility for their choices and actions within the limits of our context.
